Blugold Roast coffee — special organic blends created for a newly established student-run coffee business — will be offered at UW-EC special events this fall, and soon will be available for purchase online. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s local student-led chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) held a coffee cupping event recently to select soon to be announced Blugold Roast coffee. Blugold Roast brew and beans will be sold on campus in the Davies Center Snack Shack this fall. It will also be available for purchase online, for the community as well as alumni throughout the U.S. UW-Eau Claire Chancellor James Schmidt, and Resident District Manager and Executive Chef of Blugold Dining, Christian Wise, and a small group of faculty, staff and students tasted and rated the coffee selections provided by Alan Krohnke...
The UW-Eau Claire Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization is launching a new coffee business called Blugold Roast this fall. Founded in 1997, the national organization’s goal is to give students who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs the opportunities, resources and connections they need to further pursue their entrepreneurial career. According to the organization’s website, CEO currently supports over 200 colleges in over 43 states nationwide. Each college having their own chapter or section within the organization.
